Weight loss facilitates - Hindustan Times

It's no secret that people are thicker today than ever before, and not only the unfortunate people who genetically inclined, weight gain or have their whole lives was overweight. Many who were slim as a young adult have set unhealthy kilos to many, as they pass in the middle ages and beyond.

It's also no secret that the long recommended eating advice to less and weight has done little to curb the relentless rise in more exercise. No one may feel disadvantaged or leave you the table hungry, and the idea that you have food in General to control less body weight really don't cut it for most people.

The new study of five nutrition and experts in public health at Harvard University, is by far the most detailed long-term analysis of influence factors, weight gain, with 120,877 men and women who were not obese at the beginning of the study and healthy.  Study participants - nurses and doctors in the nurses' health study, nurses' health study II and the health professionals follow-up study - followed 12 to 20 years.

The analysis, published in the New England Journal of medicine, examined how an array weight gain or loss of influenced factors during each four-year period of the study. The average participant won 3.35 pounds (1.5 kg) total weight of 16.8 pounds (7.6 kg) every four years for a profit in 20 years.

"This study shows that conventional wisdom - everything in moderation food, eating fewer calories and avoid fatty foods - is not the best approach," says lead author Dr. Dariush Mozaffarian, a cardiologist at the Harvard School of public health. "What you eat makes a difference." "Only counting calories is not much role, if you the types of calories you eat."

Good and bad food
Untrue also the food industry is not assertion, so something like a bad meals are available.  "There are good foods and bad foods, and the Council should good foods and less, eating bad food" he said. "The idea that it okay is, everything in moderation food is just an excuse to eat what you want."

In line with other results, the study takes that metabolism is a hit of refined carbohydrates such as white flour and polished rice. Refined grains slows down metabolism, which determines how many calories be at rest, but remained the same after consumption of whole grains.

Physical activity had also the expected benefits. Those who exercised less tend to gain weight, while those that their activity rose not. But the researchers found that the types of food eaten people had greater effect than changes in activity.

Little things mean a lot
People will not have night overweight. Rather the kilo creep up slowly, often go unnoticed, until one day, that nothing in the closet the way fit, to use.  Even more important than its effect on appearance and wardrobe, this gradual weight gain harms health. Increasing weight increases the risk in women from heart disease, diabetes, stroke and breast cancer, and the risk of heart disease, diabetes and colon cancer in men.

The study shows based on real experience conclusively how small changes in food, exercise and other habits in large changes in body weight can cause over the years.
