FDA gives green light for Tradjenta type 2 diabetes pill (ContributorNetwork)

Several pieces of good news recently have type 2 diabetes patients. First improved, that (bariatric) stomach bypass surgery insulin response and, secondly, that the FDA for the treatment of type 2 diabetes Tradjenta released.

People with diabetes can not correctly processing sugar. Their bodies produce either unnecessary amounts of insulin, or they use not the insulin properly. Diabetics have increased risk of heart disease, nerve damage, blindness and kidney damage.

There are two types of diabetes. Shows type 1 diabetes, also known as juvenile diabetes, in general are in childhood and is usually genetic. Type 2 diabetes is a condition of adult-onset in General, shows up after 45 years.

While some ethnic groups more vulnerable are for type 2 diabetes (African-American, Native American, Hispanic), it is a lifestyle disease. Type 2 is diabetes by brought, on:

* Nature overweight, especially with large amounts of stomach fat (although thin people, especially older people more susceptible to diabetes, to)

* Lack of exercise

* lack of exercise

* consuming large amounts of suss food, dairy, red meat processed food and junk food

Type 2 diabetes is by far the most common form of the disease. The 24 million diabetes patients in the United States have approximately 90 to 95 percent of type 2 diabetes. Tradjenta is prescribed for the patient and should not be used for the treatment of type1 diabetes.

Tradjenta acts, block the enzyme Dipeptidyl peptidase-4 or DPP-4, the release inhibiting hormone insulin. Effectively, it is proven with other diabetes drugs metformin Glimepiride and pioglitazone. Tradjenta can be used alone or with these other treatments, but not with insulin.

Tradjenta is the trade name for Linagliptin. Tradjenta is from Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals Inc., Ridgefield, Conn., Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly co. FDA marketed.

The FDA advises that Tradjenta patients combine the treatment with diet and exercise. If blood sugar issues are a problem, weight loss and exercise alone are sometimes less successful. I've tried to lose weight for six months with little success.

I have diabetes, but my body to much insulin produced. If my doctor lost me on metformin a month ago, I combined more weight in the month alone when I was in the previous five months.

I had also started, discouraged with rigid diets that did no good. Metformin helped my body use insulin efficiently. Able to lose weight, thanks to insulin regulation drugs, zeal to lose has renewed me with weight.
